It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we welcome Neil Martin as Non Exec Director to Equals Collective.
In a career including significant stints on the Senior Management Teams of McLaren Racing, Red Bull Racing and Ferrari, Neil has used analytical techniques to embrace uncertainty rather than ignoring it or accepting it as being simply inconvenient or unlucky. He has formed and managed various analytical teams, developing bespoke software as well as operating live, defining and executing Race Strategy for his teams.
As Neil’s reputation grew, so did his responsibilities until he was providing insight into wider business and strategic options through the appropriate use of mathematical and business techniques to ensure that decisions were made with full awareness of likely outcomes and their associated risk profiles. This served as a springboard to the delivery of mission control rooms, driver-in-the-loop simulators and wind tunnel solutions.
Neil has worked with many World Champions and well-known names: Mika Häkkinen, Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso, David Coulthard, Mark Webber, Felipe Massa and Sebastien Vettel to name a few. Today, software originally designed by, or derived from, Neil is used by the majority of the Formula 1 grid.
Today Neil is the founder of Random Logic Limited, working across a number of series: HWA Mercedes and Aston Martin in DTM, Mercedes AMG in 24hrs racing, NASCAR, Indycar, Formula 1, Formula E among others, providing consultancy and bespoke analytic software.
Neil also works with TV production companies such as CH4, SKY Movistar and independent journalists wanting genuine analytical insight into the race events they are explaining to the public as well as an international keynote speaker on Data and Analytics.
In his role as a Non Exec Director at Equals Collective Neil brings his knowledge, experience and the latest Formula 1 techniques to give our clients a competitive advantage in their chosen industries. Equals Collective will benefit from both his insights in software development and ideation, along with his winning approach to decision making, further contributing to our commitment to accelerate business outcomes.
Having already started working with Neil, we very much look forward to what we can achieve together.
