Is Wix or Blogger better?
I recently compared Wix and Blogger to determine which was superior. I knew one had beaten the other by the time I finished. Because of its extensive set of options as a website builder and marketing tool, Wix is the most popular option.
Wix is Better than Blogger
Here’s why Wix is superior to Blogger.
Themes/Templates
Wix allows you to build any website. Both Wix and Blogger provide pre-made designs to assist you in creating the look of your website. Wix refers to them as templates, while Blogger refers to them as themes, but they are the same thing.
You can also change the color, layout, typography, and other aspects of your website. Blogger only offers 12 blog themes with different color and text options, while Wix offers over 900 template options for almost any type of website.
Wix’s five-category system makes it simple to find the suitable template for your site (Business & Services, Store, Creative, Community, and starting a Blog).
Usability
Wix allows for real-time updates.
Wix is far easier to use than Blogger.
Pop-ups with instructions on adding elements to each page will appear as you edit.
If any issues arise while designing, you will be notified. When I attempted to add text to my homepage, I received the message, “you dragged an element outside of the gridlines; some of your visitors will not see it.” The message informed me of the issue before my website went live!
Blogger also has a simple editor to customize your pages by dragging and dropping Gadgets. Using gadgets, you can easily add search bars, social media buttons, RSS feeds, and other valuable elements to your website.
Add-ons/Apps:
- You can do anything with apps on Wix. Wix has over 300 in-house and third-party Apps.
- Make use of social media apps.
- Create an interactive website that includes a blog.
- Create communities based on shared interests.
- Tickets should be sold, and RSVPs should be collected.
Paid Apps enable you to do things like:
- Online, you can find items for your eCommerce store.
- QuickBooks online should be integrated for website orders.
- Accept online reservations for your
Wix’s dashboard includes an “App Marketplace.” Without leaving the editor, you can browse Wix and third-party Apps. Blogger’s free Gadgets allow you to drag and drop various elements onto each page. Here are a few examples:
- AdSense advertisements
- Bars for searching
- Images
- Feeds via RSS
Budget and Strategy
Customer support is included in Wix’s free plan but not Blogger’s. Both builders provide good value for money. Your options are somewhat limited because they are both free.
On the other hand, Wix makes it simple to upgrade to a paid plan with more features. You can do the following with these plans:
- Wix advertisements should be removed.
- Connect your website to your domain.
- Premium support is available.
- Increase your storage capacity (3GB with Combo Plan, 10GB with Unlimited Plan)
Conclusion
Blogger does not support real-time communication, whereas Wix does. Wix provided intense and well-organized assistance. Individual videos demonstrate how to use the builder to customize your site. Wix allows you to create blogs, business websites, e-commerce sites, and other types of websites. So Wix is better than Blogger.
