Advantages of Indian Education System

by Atif Mehar April 15, 2022 0 Comment

The Indian Educational System is one of the world’s oldest educational systems. Students used to study at Gurukul ashrams and remained with the acharya or teachers until they had finished teaching their students what they needed to know. The Gurukul students’  educational goals are as follows:

     1.The attainment of highest knowledge:

The Gurukul education system’s eventual objective was to realize Brahma (God) and the universe beyond sensual pleasures in order to achieve immortality.

  1. Character development:

Students who studied the Vedas (old books) developed determination, which is a necessity for excellent character, and as a result were able to gain a more optimistic attitude and approach on life.

  1. Overall development :

Learning to retreat the senses inwardly and practising introversion was thought to be the best approach for achieving all-round development. While completing various jobs at the Gurukul, students were able to become more conscious of the inner functioning of their minds, as well as their response pattern and reactions.

  1. Social virtues:

The learner was motivated to speak only the truth and avoid deception and lying by training his body, mind, and heart. This was thought to be the most noble human quality. They were also motivated to believe in charitable giving, which helped them become more socially efficient.

  1. Spiritual foundation:

Introversion is recommended as the best approach for spiritual development in ancient scriptures, As a result, the learner spent time in reflection and seclusion from the outside world in order to gain self-awareness and self-realization by looking solely within himself.

  1. Cultural Knowledge:

Students present food to a stranger or a visitor once a year for cultural education. This act was regarded as a sacrifice comparable to one’s social and religious responsibilities to others.

Nowadays, an educational institute may be found on every other road. As a result, the educational quality has slipped. Premier institutes, such as IITs and IIMs, on the other hand, are internationally recognised as symbols of quality. Sports and other extracurricular activities have frequently been overlooked in the race for good grades.

The Education System is a hot topic right now. The Indian educational system has been chastised for its inadequate facilities and professors, as well as for failing to provide placement units and prepare students to confront the world with a practical understanding of how things work. Our student exchange programmes, on the other hand, continue to be popular with students from all over the world who come to our colleges to study.

THE ADVANTAGES OF THE INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM

Education in India:

India is among the top countries in the world in regard to literacy rate. Many Indians are being hired by multinational and international corporations all across the world, allowing them to build their own fortunes. Only with high quality education provided in the country are they able to accomplish well in their careers. Also, the upgradation in the technology has laid importance on focusing on how to create an online course.

People can now easily learn course selling and people from all spheres be it working or students can access education.

1.There is a lot of competition among the kids.

The Indian educational system gives a scope of healthy competition in students from an initial age. Students are taught to reach their greatest potential through competition. Since elementary school, pupils have been subjected to a ranking system that encourages them to perform well. It helps to grow the brain at an early age and improves their ability to think. It teaches us to evaluate our strengths and flaws on a regular basis.

  1. Examinations

Every month, we have assessments in the Indian school system to see how much we have learnt. Many kids despise it, but there is a positive side to it. Tests assist us in fully comprehending chapters, memorising them, and retrieving them when needed. To put it another way, we acquire a habit of self-learning, we acquire knowledge on how to prioritise things and how to recall them. We practise this for several years and become experts at understanding topics swiftly and effectively by the time we graduate from high school.

  1. The Study of Morality

Moral science is a subject taught in most primary and middle schools, but not at foreign colleges. Students learn the fundamentals of morals and ethics in this course. It was formerly thought that ethics could not be taught, yet our educational system has taken a step in the right direction. In addition, Indian schools and universities support a variety of cultural events and music concerts.

  1. Secularism

English is a mandatory language in most Indian schools, and regional languages are taught alongside it. The Indian educational system teaches us to be secular. We gradually learn to tolerate other religions when we study at a school with students of other faiths.
